Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end launches of counter-UAS solutions from readiness to field deployment. You will work at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer needs, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Hybrid role based out of Sterling, VA, with in-person collaboration Tue–Fri and optional remote Monday. You will drive launch readiness, manage risks, and ensure timelines meet field requirements while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical program or launch management experience.
• 1+ years in defense, public safety, counter-UAS, or technically complex hardware/software products.
• Experience launching hardware into operationally demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Own launch readiness and go/no-go governance for defense solutions across hardware, firmware, software, and network workstreams.
• Build and drive cross-functional launch plan coordinating RF, ME, EE, firmware, software, compliance, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Translate customer/business needs into launch criteria and risk gates for counter-UAS field deployment.
• Drive trade-off decisions across BOM cost, system capabilities, schedule, manufacturability, and quality to ensure launch readiness.
• Own risk registers, escalation paths, and rollback/contingency plans for field deployments.
• Ensure launch decisions reflect real-world field conditions in mission-critical environments.
• Build alignment across stakeholders and drive executive reporting on launch status and risk.
• Define launch success metrics and use feedback to drive post-launch iteration.
