Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a Solutions Architect to support our Virginia Beach office. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into comprehensive technical solutions and design end-to-end architectures for Defense and Intelligence proposals.

You will lead technical proposals, guide the BD team through capture processes, assess existing systems, stay current with trends, and mentor junior teammates to grow their skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of Defense/Intelligence experience in business and proposal development.
• Expertise in Cloud migration, IT, Systems Engineering and Integration, and software development.
• Strong understanding of government RFP processes and tech proposals for Defense/Intelligence contracts.
• Knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies, data integration, and security requirements.
• Experience architecting scalable, reliable solutions to complex problems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and development principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of winning/high-scoring technical proposal responses.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Design end-to-end solutions for Defense/Intelligence proposals meeting RFP specifications.
• Lead development of technical proposals, including design, implementation approach, and cost estimation.
• Provide technical guidance to Business Development throughout capture and proposal processes.
• Assess existing systems to identify improvements and develop innovative solutions.
• Stay current with advancements and trends relevant to defense/IA domains.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to address technical challenges and demonstrate benefits.
• Coordinate with operations and management for seamless implementation and delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior BD and innovation team members.
