Job summary

VTG in the United States is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and lead end-to-end solutions for Defense and Intelligence contracts, translating customer requirements into robust architectures compliant with RFPs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide business development and proposal efforts, mentor junior members, and ensure seamless delivery of innovative solutions while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in the Defense/Intelligence community, with business and proposal development focus.
• Expertise in cloud migration, IT, systems engineering and integration, and software development.
• Strong knowledge of government RFP processes and defense/intelligence contract proposals.
• Experience architecting scalable, reliable solutions to complex problems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of winning/high-scoring technical proposal responses.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional team leadership.

Overview

VTG is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our Virginia Beach office.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical solutions.
• Design and architect end-to-end solutions for Defense and Intelligence community proposals, ensuring they meet the specifications outlined in RFPs.
• Lead the development of technical proposals, including solution design, implementation approach, and cost estimation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the Business Development team throughout the capture and proposal process.
• Conduct assessments of existing systems and technologies to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, industry best practices, and emerging trends relevant to defense and intelligence domains.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their technical challenges and present the benefits of our proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with the operations and management team to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the business development and innovation teams, fostering their professional growth and development.

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in the Defense and Intelligence community, with a focus on business and proposal development.
• Proven expertise in areas such as Cloud migration, IT, Systems Engineering and Integration, and software development.
• Strong understanding of government RFP processes and experience in developing technical proposals for Defense and Intelligence contracts.
• Excellent knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies, data integration, and security requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting scalable and reliable solutions to complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of Winning / High Scoring Technical Proposal Response.
• Strong leadership abilities and a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.

VTG’s base pay range is $60.00 - $63.00per hour, which is a general guideline for the geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or market considerations.
