Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead a high-visibility contract in the Northern Virginia area. The role interfaces with government leadership, drives performance, and manages a diverse team across CONUS and OCONUS operations to ensure flawless execution of complex objectives.

Required are a Master’s or Bachelor’s with 5+ years in defense/national security, PMP/DAWIA III, and demonstrated ability to deliver executive briefings and manage multi-disciplinary programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s with 5+ years defense/national security missions.
• PMP or DAWIA Level III certification required.
• Experience leading CONUS/OCONUS programs and diverse teams.
• Clear communication with executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle leadership of contract operations and compliance.
• Liaise with government leadership and deliver updates and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Program Management Plan (PMP) including staffing and processes.
• Lead technical meetings, reviews, and senior-level briefings.
• Oversee monthly status reporting, metrics, and risk tracking.
• Manage program finances including burn rates and funding impact assessments.
• Lead Transition-In/Out activities ensuring mission continuity.
• Recruit and manage personnel, build surge/replacement pipelines.
• Oversee onboarding, training, evaluations, and admin management.
• Implement QA processes for timely, accurate deliverables.
• Foster cross-functional integration across technical/operational domains.
