Job summary

Mercury Systems, based in Andover, MA, seeks a Contracts Manager to support its Secure Line of Business in professional Contract Management. This role requires deep knowledge of government contracting, FAR/DFARs, and experience with a range of contract types.

Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, preparing proposals, and ensuring compliance while handling multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience in Contract Administration/Business Management/Finance with government or prime customers.
• Experience with USG, Prime and Commercial contracts.
• Experience with standard defense contract types (CR, CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ) and all phases of contracting.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARs.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance; US citizens only.
• Travel: less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage Program and Project Contracts supporting Line of Business.
• Reviews solicitations and prepares proposal responses in conjunction with proposal team and reviews and approves contractual documents for adherence to customer specifications and requirements.
• Drafts and/or reviews and redlines customer agreements, negotiates complex agreements, including master agreements, to align with corporate objectives.
• Develops and recommends negotiation strategies consistent with goals and objectives.
• Advises management and program teams of contractual rights, obligations, IP protections, and risks.
• Maintains deadlines for internal and external requests and enters contract data into databases.
• Analyzes and tracks contract compliance with other functions.
• Interfaces with Government contracting officials and prime contractor procurement representatives.
• Interfaces with Contracts, Legal, Program Management, Finance and other staff as required.
