Job summary

CHAOS Industries is hiring an Enterprise Cloud Architect to design and govern cloud infrastructure for defense programs. You’ll lead AWS GovCloud and Azure Government initiatives, ensure secure, scalable cloud solutions, and work with ISSMs, PMs, and engineers to deliver mission-ready systems.

You’ll own the architecture roadmap, drive secure connectivity between classified/unclassified environments, and enforce standards like ZTA, IAM, and encryption. Travel up to 10% CONUS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Computing, or related field.
• 8–12 years of cloud architecture, infra engineering, or solutions architecture experience.
• 4+ years designing cloud solutions for DoD/IC/federal programs.
• Hands-on with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and DevSecOps.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53/144, CMMC 2/3, DFARS cloud requirements.
• Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise cloud architecture across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and on‑prem/hybrid.
• Develop cloud architecture docs, diagrams, and ATO artifacts aligned to standards.
• Define/enforce security standards: ZTA, IAM, encryption, workload isolation.
• Lead cloud migration planning and execution (rehost/replatform/refactor).
• Architect secure, HA cloud networks: VPC/VNET, transit, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute.
• Collaborate on Cloud Security Plans, SSPs, and continuous monitoring.
• Establish IaC standards and repeatable deployment pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and run architecture reviews.
