Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Architect to shape and govern cloud strategy across defense and GovCon programs. You’ll own architecture end‑to‑end, collaborating with ISSMs, program managers, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions in classified and unclassified environments.

You will drive AWS GovCloud and Azure Government initiatives, enforce Zero Trust security, and mentor cloud engineers while partnering with government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field required.
• 8–12 years of cloud architecture or similar experience; DoD/government program design preferred.
• Active Secret clearance at time of hire; TS/SCI preferred.
• Hands-on with AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government, multi-account landing zones.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep) and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST guidelines, and DFARS cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Design and own enterprise cloud architecture across GovCloud, Azure Government, and on‑prem/hybrid.
• Develop documentation, diagrams, and ATO artifacts aligned to NIST RMF and FedRAMP.
• Define and enforce cloud security standards; implement Zero Trust.
• Lead cloud migration planning (rehost/replatform/refactor) and execution.
• Architect secure, HA cloud networks including VPC/VNET, connectivity, and cross‑domain integrations.
• Collaborate with ISSMs/ISSO teams on SSPs and continuous monitoring.
• Establish IaC standards and secure deployment pipelines; mentorship for engineers.
