Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Staff Cloud Solutions Architect to design, lead, and govern our cloud infrastructure strategy across defense and GovCon programs. You will own architecture from concept through delivery, partnering with ISSMs, program managers, and engineering teams to ensure mission-ready, compliant solutions in classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required; Master’s preferred.
• 8–12 years of cloud architecture/infrastructure experience, with at least 4 years in DoD/IC/federal programs.
• Hands-on with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and CI/CD security (DevSecOps).
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government architectures, multi-account/landing zone design, networking, and IAM.
• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred; program assignments may require upgrade.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the enterprise cloud architecture across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and hybrid environments.
• Develop architecture docs, network diagrams, data flow maps, and ATO artifacts aligned to NIST RMF, ICD 503, FedRAMP.
• Define and enforce cloud security standards including ZTA, IAM, encryption, and workload isolation.
• Lead cloud migration planning and execution (rehost/replatform/refactor).
• Architect secure, highly available cloud networks (VPC/VNET, transit gateways, private connectivity).
• Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO to develop SSPs and continuous monitoring for cloud-hosted systems.
• Establish IaC standards and auditable deployment pipelines.
