The Senior Default Servicing Associate will manage defaulted Home Equity Investments, lead loss mitigation and foreclosure efforts, and develop robust workflows to improve investor recoveries.

The role requires 5+ years in mortgage servicing, strong regulatory knowledge, and leadership to coach the Special Servicing team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Mortgage, HELOC, or HEI servicing (default management and loss mitigation).
• Deep foreclosure and title mastery with ability to interpret title reports.
• Experience auditing subservicers and conducting call monitoring.
• Strong understanding of mortgage servicing regulations and detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex defaulted HE investments and develop recovery strategies.
• Communicate with customers, investors, attorneys, and subservicers.
• Manage subservicers and foreclosure firms to ensure compliant processes.
• Maintain regulatory documentation and compliance standards.
• Train team members on new processes and policies.
• Oversight and auditing of subservicers; resolve escalated servicing requests.
• Contribute to policy development and investor reporting.
• Suggest system/workflow improvements to product/engineering.
