Job summary

Truist is seeking a senior Decision Scientist to oversee analytics projects and provide guidance to a team of decision scientists, aligning with the Decision Science Manager to drive outcomes across banking channels and products. Using statistics, operations research, IT, and business design, you will deliver data-driven insights that support data-informed decisions and measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, business acumen, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and 7+ years in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, CS, or Engineering
• 4+ years of decision science/analytics project management with diverse focus
• Ability to collaborate with partners and deliver insights
• Experience with DB2/Oracle, SAS/SQL/Toad, R/Python, SAS E-Miner, Tableau and MicroStrategy, MS Office

Responsibilities

• Mentor Decision Scientists and drive high-impact analyses across models
• Lead target initiatives and guide projects using quantitative methods and ML
• Foster partnerships with LOB leaders and senior managers
• Focus on revenue and efficiency gains via data-driven insights
• Promote use of tools to deliver timely, accurate, repeatable solutions
• Exercise risk management and maintain client-centric design
• Represent group in forums and coordinate with analytics teams
