Job summary

MITRE seeks an experienced Decision Analyst to support government sponsors with cost, economic, and business analytics across multiple projects. You will lead teams, build models, and deliver data-driven insights that influence budgeting and investment decisions.

Responsibilities include life cycle cost estimates, cost/benefit analyses, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences. A Top Secret clearance is required, and on-site work is expected four days weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in cost estimating, cost risk analysis, and/or budgeting and CPIC processes in defense, intelligence, or civil agencies.
• BA/BS or Master’s in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in development of risk-adjusted LCCEs and investment economic and decision analyses.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and other analysis tools.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance (U.S. citizen).
• On-site work requirement: minimum 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of junior analysts to successfully meet project objectives.
• Identify, scope, and execute structured analysis for government sponsors while managing timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Develop models and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to understand cost/economic/financial impacts of investments, risk mitigation, options, and other government actions.
• Collect and analyze financial, cost, and economic data.
• Develop and/or evaluate program technical and programmatic baselines.
• Develop independent life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and accompanying cost/schedule risk, uncertainty, and sensitivity analyses.
• Develop cost estimates in support of source selection, including IGCEs.
• Perform cost-related studies and analyses; develop investment economic and decision analyses; and produce business case analyses.
