Job summary

MITRE in the United States is seeking an intermediate cost analyst to support multiple projects in Acquisition Affordability and Business Analytics. You will develop models and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to understand the cost, economic, and financial impact of investments, engaging sponsors to scope and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, life cycle cost estimates, and risk/sensitivity analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified fields with at least 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Proficient with statistical methods including regressions, forecasting, and hypothesis testing.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• On-site work required four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop models and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to understand cost/economic/financial impact of investments, risk mitigation, options and other government actions.
• Collect, analyze financial, cost, and economic data and develop baselines.
• Create life cycle cost estimates and conduct cost/schedule risk, uncertainty, and sensitivity analysis.
• Support source selection with Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and related analyses.
• Conduct data-driven analyses and translate findings into clear presentations for sponsors.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science/Analytics, Quantitative Sciences
