Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Lead Engineering Technologist to serve as SME for Generating Station Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The role supports operations, maintenance and projects across coal, gas, solar and storage facilities, guiding troubleshooting and coordination with OEM partners.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years with a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology (or 8+ with an Associate; 10+ without a degree) and experience with DCS systems such as Emerson Ovation, Siemens T3000, and GE

Qualifications

6+ years of relevant industry experience with BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 8+ years with Associate Degree, or 10+ years without a degree.
Experience with design, construction, commissioning, and/or process engineering support for generation facilities.
Experience with utility industry process control and automation equipment; DCS familiarity.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for operations, maintenance and projects across multiple generation technologies.
Coordinate communication with DCS OEM support groups and fleet-level guidance for internal teams.
Own fleet-level standards, practices, and procedures with minimal supervision.
