Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks a Lead Engineer/SME for Generating Station DCS to provide expert technical support for operations, maintenance and projects across coal, gas, solar and storage facilities. You will guide teams, own fleet-level standards, and coordinate with OEMs to ensure reliable control system performance.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, PE license, and 8+ years of engineering experience; a Master’s degree is welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and PE.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• A Master’s degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer to serve as SME for Generating Station DCS.
• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects across multiple generation technologies.
• Coordinate communication with external DCS OEM support groups and fleet-level guidance.
