Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Lead Engineer SME to support Generating Station Distributed Control Systems across multiple technologies and regions. You will provide advanced technical guidance to operations, maintenance and projects, ensuring reliable control system performance.

You will lead engineering activities, collaborate with OEMs, and help set fleet standards while communicating effectively with teams and stakeholders nationwide.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program and PE license.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering may substitute for the B.S. degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME-level support for DCS across coal, natural gas, solar, and storage facilities.
• Lead engineering activities for operations, maintenance, and projects.
• Coordinate with OEMs and fleet-level guidance and develop standards.
