Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer/SME to serve as the expert for Generating Station Distributed Control Systems (DCS). You will support operations, maintenance, and projects across coal, natural gas, solar and storage facilities, coordinating with OEM partners and fleet-level standards teams.

The role requires an engineering degree with PE, 8+ years experience, and the ability to lead and communicate effectively across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and PE required.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects for multiple generation technologies across regions.
• Coordinate communication with external DCS OEM support groups and internal regional DCS teams.
• Own fleet level standards, practices, and procedures for DCS.
