Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Lead Engineering Technologist to act as the SME for Distributed Control Systems across several generation facilities. You will support operations, maintenance, and project teams, applying deep DCS expertise to troubleshoot, optimize and implement fleet standards.

The role requires extensive knowledge of DCS vendors and cross-site coordination, with travel within the region and occasional nationwide assignments. A senior technical background in power generation is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant industry experience with a B.S. in Engineering or Eng Tech.
• Experience with design, construction, commissioning or process engineering in generation facilities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Generating Station DCS across multiple generation technologies.
• Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and projects.
• Coordinate fleet-level guidance with internal teams and OEMs.
• Develop and own fleet standards, practices, and procedures.
