Qualifications

• 7 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations involving multi-temperature environment
• 3–6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including team supervision
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, food handling, and inventory best practices
• Proficiency in computer systems and reporting (barcoding, warehouse systems, timekeeping)
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a 24/7 operation with a focus on collaboration, safety, and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and monitors the day-to-day operations for the DC's warehousing function, including analyzing operating data and reports, determining manpower needs and monitoring adherence to standards to ensure objectives are met
• Manages assigned staff, including involvement in recruitment and selection, assigning work, providing training, evaluating performance and building a motivated team
• Periodically audits operational procedures and programs related to shipping and receiving and implements improvements
• Develops, audits and controls department budget and ensures that costs are within plan; manages material handling equipment
• Ensures compliance with customer, governmental and company directives and prepares relevant reports and analyses
• Communicates with management and employees and provides reports and analyses for decision-making
• Performs other related duties as necessary
