Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram is seeking a Plan Document Manager (Defined Contribution Plans) to lead the Document Service team. The role demands extensive DC plan document experience, especially with restatement cycles, and strong communication and project management skills.

You will oversee restatement projects, coordinate with consultants and partners, and ensure compliance with IRS/ERISA/DOL guidelines while using the FIS/Sungard system for document work.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of IRS/DOL rules for retirement plans and defined contribution plans.
• Experience with pre-approved plan documents using web-based vendor platforms including FIS/Sungard.
• Ability to interpret regulatory language in client documents.
• Experience with SCP and VCP under EPCRS is a plus.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and edit the internal procedures for documents services including delivery and e-sign methods, file storing and naming conventions.
• Supervise and manage 1–2 junior staff on the document service team.
• Prepare new plan documents packages for signature on new plans.
• Restate existing plans onto the preapproved document system, reviewing provisions and suggesting changes.
• Oversee Cycle 4 restatement for approx. 900 DC plans (Oct 2026–Sept 2028).
• Provide amendments as requested by Plan Sponsors.
• Participate in meetings, training, and firm initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through webinars and certifications.
