Job summary

FIS is seeking a Representative Senior, BPS Client Contact (Qualified Plan Document Analyst) to analyze, draft, and maintain retirement plan documents in compliance with IRS/ERISA requirements. You will collaborate with legal, compliance, operations, and client teams to support mergers, restatements, and conversions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory adherence, and translating complex requirements into clear documentation for client objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans and plan document structures.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS qualification rules, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Experience analyzing plan documents, including amendments, restatements, and conversions.
• Ability to interpret complex legal and technical information with high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze retirement plan documents to assess design features, compliance requirements, and regulatory alignment.
• Translate business and client requirements into customized, compliant prototype plan documents.
• Draft, maintain, and update plan documents including 401(k), profit sharing, and money purchase plans.
• Perform protected benefits reviews to preserve participant rights during plan changes and conversions.
• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and risks across plan documents and recommend effective solutions.
• Ensure all documents align with current IRS, ERISA, and applicable regulatory guidance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, operations, and client-facing teams.
• Support development of plan design documentation and implementation materials.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Contribute to process improvements, quality standards, and documentation best practices.
