Job summary

Discount Tire is seeking a Principal Distribution Center Maintenance Technician in Denver to lead our DC maintenance strategy. You will drive performance metrics, support startup of new multi-channel facilities, and develop preventive maintenance processes to improve reliability and uptime.

Key duties include managing conveyor and MHE maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs and electrical systems, and coordinating vendors while ensuring safety and efficiency across the distribution network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in material handling, automation, manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience with omni‑channel distribution startups preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Six-Sigma and LEAN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure environment and adhere to safety programs.
• Oversee maintenance of conveyor systems, MHE, and building infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, sensors, and controls.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and electrical systems; perform preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors; maintain CMMS work orders and records.
• Develop preventive-maintenance schedules and manage asset records.
• Lead best practices to promote high-performing, engaged teams.
