Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Sr. DC Department Lead to assist the Department Manager/Supervisor with daily planning, directing team assignments, and training new hires.

The role emphasizes safety, productivity, and adherence to procedures within a distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will guide operations across departments, monitor performance, and participate in safety initiatives while remaining flexible for shifts and cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Determine production goals, daily operational tasks, monitor performance, and adjust team assignments as needed.
• Initiate and direct training, coach, and develop team members while holding them accountable on performance and productivity.
• Knowledge of WMS applications or ability to learn to audit, research, and resolve inventory variances, and respond to team questions.
• Collaborate with leadership, participate in daily meetings, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Be willing to learn all areas of the distribution center and work a flexible schedule when needed.
• Operate forklift and other powered equipment essential to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may work in other departments as needed.
