Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coordinate daily workflow in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will guide frontline Team Members, monitor operations, and ensure adherence to SOPs while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory accuracy across receiving, storage, and shipping functions. The role requires prior warehouse experience, strong communication, and the ability to coach others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or technical education preferred.
• Previous warehouse, distribution center, logistics, retail, or related operational experience required.
• Experience in food distribution, refrigerated or frozen operations, cross-dock, or high-volume environments preferred.
• Coordinate daily work activities and provide operational direction to frontline Team Members in a warehouse.
• Ability to coach and provide feedback while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, product flow, and standards.
• Knowledge of WMS, RF scanners, handheld devices, and other warehouse technology preferred.
• Learn and use voice-directed systems like VoCollect and similar tech.
• Experience operating MHE preferred; basic math to verify pallet IDs, counts, and quantities.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and accuracy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow and priorities within the assigned area per Warehouse Supervisor.
• Monitor progress, workload distribution, and service expectations to achieve plans.
• Provide day-to-day direction to Team Members on assignments, processes and priorities.
• Ensure standard operating procedures and methods are followed consistently.
• Monitor receiving, storage, selection, replenishment, staging, and shipping activities for accuracy and safety.
• Support timely movement of merchandise and equipment throughout the area.
• Verify inventory, pallet IDs, locations, quantities and other data.
• Identify issues and escalate to Supervisor as appropriate.
• Serve as subject matter resource for warehouse processes and systems.
• Monitor performance metrics and communicate gaps or improvements to Supervisor.
