Job summary

Teamware Solutions is seeking a senior Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive DB2 for z/OS expertise and strong SQL Server and Oracle experience. The role requires 15+ years of combined database administration across enterprise platforms and hands-on work with z/OS infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will support FDOT-related infrastructure and possess strong performance tuning, recovery, and disaster recovery skills, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff.

Qualifications

15+ years of combined database administration experience.
Experience with DB2 for z/OS – required / primary.
Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012 and Oracle 10g+.

Responsibilities

Perform database planning and administration across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS environments.
Monitor performance and conduct tuning and capacity planning.
Design, implement, and support database structures and catalogs.
Perform SQL code reviews and optimization recommendations.
Support upgrades, maintenance, and disaster recovery activities.
Troubleshoot production issues related to databases and z/OS.
Provide training and mentoring to junior staff.
