Job summary

iROW9 Inc. seeks an experienced Database Administrator – Advanced (DB2 z/OS) to manage DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS databases. You will optimize performance, support upgrades, and ensure security and compliance across enterprise environments.

The role involves designing structures, monitoring performance, reviewing SQL, and mentoring staff while coordinating disaster recovery and infrastructure planning efforts.

Qualifications

• 12 years of combined database administration experience with DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server 2008 R2/2012, and Oracle 10g or later.
• Advanced DB2/z/OS administration, performance monitoring, upgrades, catalog maintenance, and recovery.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, ISPF, CA GEN, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, RACF, CICS, and related mainframe tools.
• Oracle and SQL Server administration, integration, and performance management.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, infrastructure change verification, Windows Server, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer, design, implement, and optimize database structures.
• Monitor performance, tune databases, review SQL code, and maintain DBA documentation.
• Support DB2 upgrades, catalog maintenance, point-in-time recovery, and database integration.
• Assist with data architecture, infrastructure planning, disaster recovery, and technical staff mentoring.
