Qualifications

• Experience in database planning, design, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience conducting SQL code reviews and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration, maintenance, and operational support.
• Plan, design, implement, and support databases across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Conduct SQL code reviews to ensure quality and standards.
• Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff.
• Troubleshoot database issues and support infrastructure operations.
• Perform additional database and infrastructure duties as assigned.

Job description

The Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize database environments across DB2 for z/OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, performance tuning, SQL code reviews, database design, and operational support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 12 years of combined experience in database administration across the following database platforms:
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012
• Oracle 10g and above
• Strong knowledge of database administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in database planning, design, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience conducting SQL code reviews and maintaining technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Client’s integrated database infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Client’s Financial Management applications.
• Familiarity with Client’s integrated application environment.
• Experience supporting GIS databases and related infrastructure.
