Job summary

A rapidly growing IT firm is seeking a Sr. DB2 DBA to lead the administration and support of its DB2 z/OS databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing database performance, leading a team, and ensuring data integrity. Applicants should have over 5 years of experience in heavy DB2 z/OS database administration and be skilled in SQL performance tuning. This is a 12-month contract position located in Cincinnati, Ohio, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of heavy DB2 ZOS database administration experience.
• Experience with large systems in data sharing sysplex environment.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning of complex SQLs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for database design, development, and administration.
• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced database analysts.
• Analyze Key Performance Metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
