Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Database Administrator to support a large, fast-paced program in the Intel sector.

You will assess and report SRG/STIG vulnerabilities, ensure DoD-compliant security controls, and collaborate with ISSOs to validate compliance across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other DBs. Responsibilities include patch management, RMF/ATO support, vulnerability remediation, and scripting improvements to optimize reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Master's with 15–20 years of relevant experience or Doctorate with 13–16 years.
• In-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls.
• In-depth experience applying Oracle CPU patches, IAVA patches, and other database products.
• In-depth experience with Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases.
• In-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
• Must have experience with PL/SQL.
• Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DISA STIGs for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra and/or MongoDB.
• Perform vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and remediate security weaknesses.
• Support RMF processes and contribute to ATO packages.
• Conduct routine security readiness reviews and document POA&M items.
• Collaborate with ISSOs to validate and report compliance.
• Review SRGs/STIGs as updates are released and report changes.
• Assess impact and risk of change requests and provide cyber oversight for web changes.
• Perform system updates and IAVA patching.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
• Perform database recovery actions.
• Modify existing database scripts and create new ones for recurring issues.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.
