Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Database Administrator to support a large, fast-paced DoD program. You will assess and implement SRG/STIG-based controls, perform vulnerability remediation, and collaborate with ISSOs to ensure compliance across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB environments.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, Linux security experience, and hands-on DB administration including patching, recovery, and scripting in PL/SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years as a Database Administrator with Oracle DB experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining database security controls.
• Experience applying Oracle CPU and IAVA patches; strong Linux security knowledge.
• Hands-on RDBMS software installation, configuration and upgrade.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DISA STIGs for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra and MongoDB.
• Perform vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and remediate weaknesses.
• Support RMF processes and contribute to ATO packages.
• Conduct security readiness reviews and document POA&M items.
• Collaborate with ISSOs to validate and report compliance.
• Review and report changes to SRG/STIGs with significant impact.
• Assess change requests for cyber risk before implementation.
• Perform system updates and IAVA patching.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database problems; perform database recovery.
• Modify scripts and develop new SQL for recurring issues.
