Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent; 7+ years database admin experience
- Expertise PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise
- Experience with installation, config, tuning, security, backup and HA
- Proficient in PL/pgSQL or T-SQL
Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, maintain, and support PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure environments
- Monitor database health and performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning and optimization solutions
- Develop, maintain, and validate backup and disaster recovery processes
- Administer database security, including user access, permissions, auditing
- Implement high-availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to performance, connectivity, and availability
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize schemas, procedures, and queries
- Develop and maintain database architecture documentation and procedures
- Perform capacity planning and participate in on-call rotation
