Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Database Solutions Architect to design architectures based on AWS database services for large-scale data workloads.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as software, cloud, systems, data & analytics.
• 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting on applications and infra.
• Deep knowledge of at least one commercial or open source DB (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise customers deep technical expertise to advance AWS Database Services adoption.
• Collaborate with AWS teams to develop innovative database solutions for business problems.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to executives navigating cloud transformation.
• Lead architectural reviews and workshops to solve customer business cases.
• Champion best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures.
• Present at AWS events such as re:Invent and Summits.
• Educate customers on AWS database workloads and production-ready solutions.
• Give feedback to AWS product teams on industry needs and act as primary contact for urgent issues.
• Stay current with trends to help customers innovate and stay competitive.
