You will manage PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, SQL Server and cloud-native databases, ensuring high availability, backups, patching, monitoring, and incident response. Key responsibilities include proactive performance tuning, change planning, cross-functional collaboration with cloud, data engineering and security

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of hands-on DBA experience across PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, SQL Server and cloud-native databases.
• Deep knowledge of database administration including installation, upgrades, patching, backup/recovery, replication and high availability.
• Experience with automation and DevOps tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP database services and observability platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, ownership and collaboration in a 24x7 production environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide 24x7 production support for enterprise database platforms and mission-critical applications.
• Administer databases: installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, monitoring, backup/recovery, replication, and HA.
• Monitor health, availability, capacity, and performance; identify risks and implement proactive improvements.
• Manage production incidents through established Incident Management processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term remediation via Problem Management.
• Plan and implement database changes aligned with Change Management.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, data engineering, and vendor teams.
• Contribute to architecture and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Develop automation and self-healing capabilities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities and accelerate outcomes.
