Job summary

RegEd, a leading RegTech provider, seeks a Senior Database Administrator to sustain and advance our on‑premises and cloud databases. You will design schemas, tune performance, and respond to incidents as part of the data team.

You will collaborate with Architecture and QA to set standards, monitor security, and implement data retention across large databases while working in a remote/highly flexible environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• Minimum 4 years as Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands‑on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
• Experience with cloud-based Azure databases and large databases (2TB+).
• Experience with complex procedures, functions and triggers.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects across on‑premise and cloud databases.
• Recommend database approaches to architecture staff.
• Drive innovation and improvement through newer data technologies.
• Establish coding standards for stored procedures, triggers, and schema design.
• Review and approve complex structural changes to the database.
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents including blocking and deadlocks.
• Build and maintain database monitoring for alerts, performance data, and dashboards.
• Support database security and compliance using encryption, masking, and data retention strategies.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, App Dev, and Infra teams to maintain database code.
