Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve database systems, optimize OLTP/OLAP queries, and support cloud and on‑prem architectures. You will work with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams to implement scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, security, and data retention strategies in a fast‑paced RegTech environment. Remote or hybrid work is supported from the U.S. HQ network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL Server 2016 and higher.
• Hands on experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure and large (2+ TB) databases.
• Experience with database monitoring, performance optimization, and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects on premise and in cloud environments.
• Optimize queries and develop efficient, scalable SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents including blocking and deadlocks.
• Advise on data retention, tiering, and archive strategies for high-volume production databases.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure to maintain database code.
