Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with application development, focusing on database development.
• Strong SQL development across multiple platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Database design, normalization, and data modeling expertise.
• ETL development and support experience.
• Experience scheduling and managing batch jobs with AutoSys or similar tools.
• Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting experience.
• Proficiency with Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions across multiple platforms.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and schemas.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
• Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes for data integration.
• Schedule, monitor, and support batch jobs using AutoSys or similar tools.
• Develop automation scripts using Unix/Linux shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Support deployments and manage development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement security controls, encryption, and auditing as required.
• Collaborate with developers to design scalable data models and architectures.
• Support migrations and cloud modernization initiatives.
