Job summary

Citi in Jersey City, NJ seeks a senior database developer to design, optimize, and support enterprise database solutions across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and more.

You will partner with application developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data platforms, develop ETL processes, tune performance, and ensure robust security and governance. This role is full-time in the Citi Technology group.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on database development and support experience.
• Strong SQL development across MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with ETL development and batch scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions across platforms.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, and schemas.
• Create complex SQL queries for applications, reporting, and analytics.
• Design ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
• Tune performance, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Support deployments, migrations, and cloud modernization.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to model scalable data architectures.
