Qualifications

• 6+ years of Apps Development or systems analysis with extensive SQL Server expertise.
• VLDB expertise: develop, maintain, and optimize VLDB solutions in SQL Server 2019+.
• Performance tuning: query optimization, indexing, and overall DB performance.
• Data modeling, architecture, and data warehouse concepts for VLDBs.
• Data loading & MS BI/ETL: SSIS, SSAS pipelines for large data volumes.
• SQL development best practices: code reviews and optimization.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB/CouchDB).
• DB security: entitlement models and encryption (TDE).
• AI-powered development for SQL refactoring and optimization.
• Project management and leadership with clear communication.
• Nice to have: Python/Pyspark.

Responsibilities

• VLDB management: develop and optimize very large databases in SQL Server 19+.
• Performance tuning: lead indexing and query optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with DBA team for best practices and operations.
• Lead data loading & ETL using Microsoft BI tools.
• Drive data architecture and modeling for scalable data warehouses.
• Code reviews for SQL and stored procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintain and enhance database security and access controls.
• Apply AI tools to refactor SQL and boost productivity.
• Mentor mid-level developers and analysts; allocate work.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance in data-related decisions.
