Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to ensure the health and performance of our production database environments. You will drive architectural improvements for core storage systems and collaborate with developers on query optimization.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Expertise in operating and tuning production databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL).
Proficiency in T-SQL or PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
Hands-on experience implementing backups, replication, and HA/DR strategies.
Deep understanding of performance tuning and maintenance in high-availability environments.
Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize production database instances to ensure peak performance and stability.
Design and execute robust backup and recovery procedures to protect critical data.
Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with developers to review schema designs and optimize complex queries.
Monitor system health proactively and troubleshoot issues across various database technologies.
Automate routine maintenance tasks and database deployments to improve operational efficiency.
