Job summary

RTX is seeking a mid‑career Data Analyst for the Tucson, AZ area to perform advanced data analysis of engineering and testing data. You will develop automated data-processing scripts in MATLAB and Python, producing detailed technical reports for design decisions and program execution.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in an engineering field with 5+ years experience, strong MATLAB skills, and the ability to communicate insights to multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or related engineering discipline required.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB for data manipulation, modeling and visualization.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience writing technical documents and presenting.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis on engineering and system performance data using MATLAB.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain data processing scripts to automate workflows.
• Produce clear technical reports and presentations summarizing methods, findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
• Validate and verify data integrity, identify trends, and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Support development of analysis plans, data architectures, and process improvements.
• Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to evaluate system behavior and support decisions.
• Ensure documentation and analysis align with program, engineering, and compliance standards.
