Job summary

RTX’s Tucson, AZ site is seeking a mid‑career Data Analyst to support the SM-3 Integration & Verification team. You will analyze engineering and test data using MATLAB, build automation tools, and prepare detailed technical reports to influence design and program decisions.

The role requires a BS in an engineering discipline, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in MATLAB and scripting languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Math.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience required.
• Proficiency with MATLAB for data manipulation, modeling and visualization.
• Experience writing technical documents and presenting information.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis on engineering, test, and system performance data using MATLAB and scripting environments.
• Develop and maintain data processing scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Produce clear technical reports and presentations detailing methods, findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test, and cross‑functional teams to define data needs.
• Validate data integrity, identify trends, and troubleshoot anomalies in system data.
• Support development of analysis plans, data architectures and process improvements.
• Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to evaluate system behavior for decision making.
• Ensure documentation and analytic products comply with program and compliance standards.
