RTX is seeking a mid-career Data Analyst for the Tucson area to support the SM-3 I&V team with robust data analysis, automated tooling, and detailed technical reporting. The role emphasizes MATLAB proficiency, Python/Bash scripting, and clear communication of insights to influence design and program execution.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering with 5+ years of experience, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset in a multi-disciplinary defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, Physics, Math or related engineering disciplines; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience writing technical documents and presenting.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis on engineering, test, and system performance data using MATLAB and other scripting environments.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain data processing scripts to automate workflows and improve analysis efficiency.
• Produce clear, comprehensive technical reports and presentations summarizing methods, findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Validate and verify data integrity, identify trends, and troubleshoot anomalies as well as systems integration.
• Support development of analysis plans, data architectures, and process improvements.
• Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to evaluate system behavior and support decision-making.
• Ensure all documentation and analysis products align with program, engineering, and compliance standards.
