Job summary
Synovus is seeking an experienced IT professional to support and modernize organization-wide technology systems in Atlanta. The role involves system design reviews, software testing, and deploying partner software, while serving as a subject-matter-expert on complex projects.
You will monitor capacity, provide technical support across departments, and guide junior engineers. A strong emphasis on risk awareness and adherence to policies will be expected throughout daily activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience supporting a variety of technologies including virtualization.
- Regular office environment familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Assist with system design reviews and software testing.
- Serve as SME on complex projects and input on deployments.
- Support and deploy business partner software and packages.
- Modify and/or debug partner-supplied utilities and packages.
- Monitor system capacity and performance using diverse tools.
- Provide technical support to various departments and users.
- Identify trends and develop plans to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Act as escalation point for junior engineers.
- Be aware of risk within own area and report violations as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
