Job summary

Synovus Financial Corp is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to support and modernize organization-wide IT infrastructure across hardware, software, networking, and security. You will analyze, develop, modify, install, test, and maintain systems, troubleshoot issues, and serve as escalation for junior team members.

You will participate in system design reviews, deploy partner software, and monitor capacity and performance using a broad set of tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
5 to 7 years of experience supporting a variety of technologies including virtualization.
Regular office environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with system design reviews and software testing.
Provide input on complex projects as a subject-matter-expert.
Support and deploy business partner software and packages.
Modify and/or debug partner-supplied utilities and packages.
Monitor system capacity and performance using various tools.
Provide technical support to departments and users.
Serve as escalation point for junior engineers
Act as subject-matter-expert for area of responsibility
Adhere to policies, procedures, laws, and risk limits; report violations promptly.
Perform other related duties as required.
