Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Digital to shape the shared data infrastructure that powers our digital products. You will lead data architecture, governance, and AI-enabled analytics across engineering, product, and AI teams, delivering scalable, compliant platforms.

You'll own data models, contracts, and cataloging, partner with Legal and Security on HIPAA/CCPA, and advance observability, testing, and reliability across pipelines and platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native data platforms - GCP, Azure Synapse.
• 5+ years of experience with data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise data architecture strategy across operational, analytical, and AI workloads.
• Design and govern data models, data contracts, and canonical schemas used across product teams.
• Lead technical design for foundational data components and cross-cutting data concerns.
• Partner with legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure HIPAA/CCPA compliance.
• Establish data retention, archival, and deletion standards.
