Job summary

Jhpiego Inc. is seeking a Principal Technical Advisor to act as the main M&E point of contact for data system management within USG/DOS multi-country global health programming.

The role provides technical leadership for data analytics, dashboard development, and performance monitoring across the project’s systems. The incumbent will oversee access, training, and trouble shooting, collaborate with country offices, and translate data into actionable insights to improve program results.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree with 8-10 years of progressively responsible technical experience including implementing and/or managing MERL for international field-based programs.
• Strong technical and programmatic background in MERL, especially management, technical support and programmatic direction.
• Indepth knowledge of performance monitoring and data use for performance improvement.
• Experience in developing MERL systems for projects and country programs.
• Knowledge of health information systems.
• Experience in designing and conducting program evaluations.
• Experience in implementation research with quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Experience working in Africa, Asia or LAC regions.
• Proven leadership skills in strategic program planning and management.
• Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior level, high-quality technical assistance by combining industry knowledge with strategic program expertise.
• Leads development of new data systems, dashboards and innovations for accelerating results.
• Supports data analytics, monitoring and translation of data into actionable insights.
• Builds technical capacity and coaches staff; develops annual training plans.
