Job summary

Jhpiego is seeking a Principal Technical Advisor to serve as the lead M&E point of contact for data systems management across USG/DOS programs. The role emphasizes performance indicator monitoring, milestone tracking, user training, and analytics to turn data into actionable insights.

You will guide technical development, ensure cohesive program approaches across components, and mentor staff while collaborating with country teams and partners to advance health outcomes globally.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree with 8–10 years of progressively responsible technical experience including MERL.
• Strong MERL background: management, technical support and program direction.
• Experience in health information systems and program evaluations.
• Ability to work in challenging environments with leadership and cross-team collaboration.
• Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level, high-quality technical assistance combining industry knowledge with program expertise.
• Ensure programs are technically sound, evidence-based and responsive to donors and country needs.
• Lead development of new solutions and guidance to accelerate results.
• Oversee data systems, performance/milestone tracking, and dashboard development.
• Represent Jhpiego in external fora and contribute to knowledge management and publications.
