Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Solutions Engineer to drive data streaming use-cases from concept to go-live and to lead technical proofs of concept. You will partner with account executives to serve as the key technical advisor, surface business needs, and design solutions to meet those needs with confidence.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, deliver thought leadership through talks and workshops, and guide customers toward mature deployments while building strong executive

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar roles.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and data integration/processing.
• Cloud architecture, migrations, deployment and application development experience.
• Automation, GitOps and Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud Dev/Architect or Data Engineering & Integration.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; able to address executives and engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Advance new and innovative Data Streaming use-cases from concept to Go-Live.
• Lead Technical Proofs of Concept and technical evaluations.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop new use-cases.
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to share expertise.
• Guide customers with hands-on help and best practices for deployment maturity.
• Analyze customer consumption trends to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering as a product advocate across ecosystems.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and act as a trusted partner.
