Job summary

DataSoft Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Core Engineer to own the data and event backbone for a live system in Jacksonville, FL.

You will focus on how events flow, how live and historical data are separated, stored, secured, and served, and you will deliver with real streaming depth and transactional data modeling. The role emphasizes building, not just advising, requiring hands-on experience in OLTP-style data modeling, object storage, and secure data transport.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years hands-on, recently built and delivered work they can discuss in depth.
• Deep streaming/event-processing experience: partitioning, ordering, replay semantics.
• Strong SQL and relational data modeling/projection design for read-heavy layers.
• Experience with object storage and Lakehouse security posture.
• Experience moving event logs to archival storage with idempotent/exactly-once delivery.
• Data-plane security: row-level isolation, encryption in transit and at rest.
• AI-assisted development: ability to validate AI-generated code and tests.
• Strong Python proficiency; serverless-first approach and container fluency.

Responsibilities

• Own the data and event backbone, ensuring secure, timely delivery of scope.
• Build and maintain reproducible data pipelines and storage schemas.
• Collaborate to enforce security and consistency across stores (relational, event, object).
