Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist II, Data Solutions - Sales to expand partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients and drive revenue for Tempus products.

You will work closely with customers to understand research aims, develop targeted data-enabled solutions, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.

The role requires building scientific strategies, staying informed on industry trends, and traveling up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Education to Masters or PhD level in Quantitative/Computational biology or related field
• 2+ years post-grad experience in data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, immunology, public health, or related field
• Proficient in SQL, Python and R with relevant statistical tools and visualization packages
• Experience with Clinical Trial Design and/or Real World Evidence datasets
• Experience with integrative methods to model multi-modal clinical and/or omics data
• Strong relationship-building with pharmaceutical stakeholders based on scientific understanding
• Knowledge of Drug Discovery, Translational Research/ Computational Biology or Real World Evidence methods in Oncology

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed revenue goals for the product line and support strategic client objectives
• Build relationships with R&D and commercial executives at partner organizations
• Develop deep scientific understanding of customer pipelines and objectives
• Deploy consultative approach to identify how Tempus products can impact client performance
• Develop and implement scientific strategies and reports to drive customer engagement
• Communicate plans and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with Account Team to ensure opportunity pipeline success
• Identify new opportunities for account growth and manage existing business
• Track progress against objectives and revenue goals with the team and leadership
• Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry trends and regulatory developments
• Travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally
• Contribute to Life Sciences portfolio with client feedback and solutions
