Job summary

Starburst is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead technical engagements in the sales cycle, delivering demos, PoCs, and guidance on migrations. You will be the trusted technical advisor, crafting reference architectures and ensuring customer success across East Coast deployments.

You will design and articulate architecture, performance tuning, and deployments, collaborating withEngineering and Support. Travel ~25% is required to meet customers and onboard teams.

Qualifications

• Strong ANSI SQL knowledge and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with private/public cloud deployments and big data tech (Hadoop, distributed systems).
• Background in customer-facing technical roles and field consultative work.
• Excellent presentation and written communication abilities.
• Enjoys fast-paced startup environments and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Grow and retain accounts.
• Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle with sales teams to drive projects to closure.
• Define success criteria, educate customers, and participate in qualification.
